I agree with everyone, couldn't even stop billing. I had to contact visa and report them to leave after 3 years, they stopped supporting last spring (2011). Horrible Horrible service

Just don't take any chances...stay away from Made2Own. I can vouch for everything everyone else has said about them...okay a few years back, but everything possible goes haywire now. Right now locked out of my website and nobody home at Made2Own who cares.

Do not associate yourself with this host. Their service staff (usually just the owner) is very rude and is known to associate with hacking groups and spammers and other miscreants of the internet.

Made2own has hosted our site for the last 4 yrs. I was sent a bill that was due 2 months early from them for me yearly fees. Hence I was only getting 10 months instead of 12 for last year payment. I confronted him about this, he then changed the due date and shut my site down and locked us out of the backend. I paid this hostage taker early just to get it back up. He then billed me for my next month service wich I paid. He has yet to get me back up it has been over a week now and he will not responde to emails or answer his phone. I will be seeking legal action for his theft of my site wich I paid more then $6000 for. I hate to do this but it will not cost me a thing to persue him on this matter. Anyone else want in? A Class action suite

Reliability: poor Support: poor Features: average Pricing: above average? made2own DOES NOT MAKE ANY BACKUPS!! They do not guarantee this on their website, it's very tricky, but it's true. THEY WILL NOT BACK UP YOUR SITE. They are on the other hand quite cheap, which is why I stuck with them through many years and 2 complete site losses.

I, too lost my site on 12/10/2010. After an initial response to my support ticket inquiry noting the server crash, there has been no further response to follow-up tickets. Nor has there been additional information from the company (though plenty of speculative chatter on the web). I had great, reliable service with m2o for the last couple of years. I would have welcomed the opportunity to demonstrate loyalty and support, but at this point, there's a great echoing, unresponsive hole at the other end. Probably time to throw in the towel and move on, eh?

I think my cancellation request to this host says it all (see blow). I realize that hardware issues happen and I know that it takes time to find a solution to a big issue. But I find the complete lack of response to my tech support tickets to be disrespectful and then closing the ticket by saying it is my fault because they haven't heard from me in 72 hours just infuriating. "It doesn't bother me nearly as much that my site has been down for a month (since around December 10th) because of a hard drive failure on your equipment as the fact that after the initial response to that effect in early December, nothing has been done and all of my support tickets have been ignored. Adding further insult to injury is the fact that you keep closing the tickets after 72 hours without any response or solution. While I don't want to cancel my account, it doesn't make sense to keep paying (double- see my billing problems ticket that was also never resolved) for a service that I am simply not receiving from a company that from all appearances isn't the least bit interested in solving the problem."

As many have already pointed out, everything was fine for many years, that is, until 12/10. A single HD crashed which somehow caused half of their servers to go down (odd), but what really gets under my skin is the lack of response from the ticket system. Ive literally responded daily, and yes while its probably annoying to have a customer hound them daily, a simple reply is all Im looking for. Next I will be getting my money back due to their money back guarantees and go to a new host. Not sure how they went on this long with a lack of infrastructure to be honest

I'm not sure what is going on with this company, but there is some serious communication problems between them and their customers. I have had a site with them for about 5 years now, and up until the last 2 or so years. We were having pretty good results with them. Then something happened there, and their customer service has just went into the toilet. As a previous reviewer mentioned, their servers went down on 12/10/10. I submitted a help desk ticket when I got home from work that day, about 7 hours after the outage began. 24 hours went by, and I finally got a response. That said the same thing, 'we had an internal hard drive crash, we are working on it' So I wait another 'COUPLE DAYS' and the site is still down. I try and contact them a couple more times. A few days past, and they finally respond with 'we had a hard drive failure and trying to fix it' So it's now 12/18 and our site is still down. I have not been able to get any response back from them since 12/13. How can 1 internal hard drive failure cause 7 of their servers to go down? How in the world can they not have backup plan, or emergency procedure in place for something like this. What really ticks me off, you can sign up for service right now! They'll take you're order and put you on one of their working servers no problem.

Our website is a forum. We have been with Made2own for many years now, well over 8 years- probably close to 9 or 10 even. For the longest time we had excellent service. If there ever was an issue the friendly people would have it fixed literally within hours. This all started to change over the last few years. Now when there is a problem its a big deal. There has been a few long standing outages well past the 99.7% guarantee. We are currently in another outage now going on 72 Hrs. When you contact support they are usually not friendly. This most recent issue has been blamed on a hard drive failure. However they have seven (yes 7) of 14 servers down...

Overall the service was good up until their server administrators left. If you have an entirely unimportant site their hosting wouldn't be all that bad to use. I wouldn't recommend it however.
